      Dealer Notes

Lightning Blue 2020 Ford EcoSport SE FWD 6-Speed Automatic EcoBoost 1.0L I3 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT *BACKUP CAMERA*, *BLUETOOTH*, *ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEELS*, *FORD SYNC*, *MP3 / IPOD COMPATIBLE*, *ONE OWNER, CLEAN CARFAX*, *ECOBOOST*, *HEATED SEATS*, *POWER DRIVER'S SEAT*, *KEYLESS ENTRY*, *APPLE CARPLAY/ANDROID AUTO*, *POWER MOONROOF*, The EcoSport S is a great value, with standard equipment including cruise control, power windows and door locks, 16-inch wheels, air conditioning, cloth upholstery, and an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth streaming and two USB ports. The S also has a spare tire carrier for the side-hinged tailgate. However, this one is the EcoSport SE which gains rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, steering-wheel audio and phone controls, satellite radio, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, a sunroof and keyless ignition. The EcoSport marries subcompact hatchback size with SUV cues. The headlights and grille tone down the tall nose, but the body is short and tall. The cabin is composed of lots of trim pieces, though it's neatly organized. A high driving position gives a good view ahead, over the tall hood, in the rear, also high, there's more room than many cramped rivals. Six-foot-tall passengers will find enough headroom and legroom, and the rear seatbacks recline while their headrests retract (as do the fronts) for long-distance comfort or fold to increase cargo space. Entry and exit for passengers is easy, through large doors. The 2020 EcoSport comes with the 1.6-liter turbo-3 engine, teamed with a 6-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. With 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque, the turbo-3 tackles a higher curb weight than most vehicles this size. The 6-speed automatic snicks off unruffled, quiet shifts. Also included is, 3.44 Axle Ratio, ABS brakes, AppLink/Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Automatic temperature control, Equipment Group 200A, Exterior Parking Camera Rear, Front fog lights, Fully automatic headlights, Heated front seats, Power moonroof, Rear Parking Sensors, Remote keyless entry, Split folding rear seat, Steering wheel mounted audio controls, SYNC 3 Communications & Entertainment System, Wheels: 16" Shadow Silver-Painted Aluminum.

      • 2018 Ford EcoSport 3 Month Evaluation

        By Phil1336 on Saturday, April 07, 2018

        5.0
Almost 3 months of ownership an 1500 miles driven an my impression of the new Ford EcoSport is so far very positive. Cocerns of Fit & Finish an general Quality Control from a vehicle built in India is not an issue whatsoever..Quality materials, comfort an Value are all in place. The Value is in the Base S Trim Model for 21K. Unless you need a Power Sunroof, Push Button Ignition an SYNC 3, this is the way to go. The EcoSport is (not) a 27K or 28K Vehicle no matter how many bells an Whistles you choose to add. It looks like a Baby Escape with as much if not more ground clearance. Interior layout an quality an comfort of seating an materials used is excellent for a Base Trim Vehicle. I actually prefer the EcoSport over my other Vehicle a 2017 Honda HR-V in LX Trim! 3 gripes though. NO Emergency Spare Tire (Donut) just a Tire Inflator Kit (worthless) or order the Ugly Full Size Spare mounted on the Rear Hinged Hatch Door. No CD Player in any Audio System an Sirius Satellite Module not available in Base S Trim. Even a 11K Hyundai Accent or Kia Rio includes the Sirius/XM feature! Fuel Economy also is a bit disappointing for a Vehicle with a 3 cyl engine an only 1 ltr. displacement. Rear Seat Legroom is a bit challenging too. Small storage area behind rear seats is barely adequate unless one or both of the Rear Seat are folded down. All in all, for a 19K New CUV, a like it!
      • Bigger than a Fiesta, small than an Escape

At 60+ this car is comfortable to get into and out of and a hoot to drive. I don't race nor off road adventure. I look for comfort and reliable tech - this car has it. I have the Titanium model with all the bells and etc. I have the 2.0l engine so it has enough get up and go. I commute 84+ miles 5 days a week. I traded in a Fiesta Titanium 5 speed manual for this car and am most satisfied (and I liked my Fiesta). @45mph I get 35 mpg at 25, 35, 60 or 70 mph I get 26-28 mpg; still not bad for a 4wd at this price point. I like the side opening door, but wish it had an interior handle to help it close as the ext surface/contour is too smooth. I have an Escape and a F250, so all I need this car to be is what it is and not something else; it meets the mark, A+. I would buy again, every time!!!
      • Not bad for a baby Escape!

So, I traded my 2008 Escape in for a 2019 Ecosport SE. I won't lie, I LOVED my Escape, so it was hard to say goodbye. After driving the Ecosport for a little over a month, it is growing on me. I've nicknamed it the baby Escape. The auto start/stop I found annoying at first, but after it reaching 30MPG, during the summers when I'm only driving with the windows down, I'm not complaining. It seems to handle well in the snow, thus far. I'll know more once winter actually hits! The turn radius is phenomenal and I do need to use it on my daily commute. The power it has for a 3-cylinder engine is pretty impressive. You're not going to win a race in it, but the pick up and go is good for an engine that small. The center console is pretty far back and sits low, so I lost my arm rest in that respect. There really isn't much leg room in the back seats, but fortunately, I don't plan on having many passengers. I don't mind the side hinged read hatch, though I do miss the lift glass, as that made it easier to get small items in and out of the cargo area quicker. I'm still getting used to having less cargo capability than my Escape, so I suppose I'm a little spoiled in that respect. The features that came with the Ecosport are basic compared to today's vehicle features, rear camera and sensors, infotainment center, and heated seats, but compared to an 11 year old vehicle, they're pretty updated, so it's like getting free upgrades without being charged any upgrade costs. Plus, I was even able to get the candy blue color I wanted!
